Sport Sounds makes sporting and cultural events genuinely accessible for fans with a visual impairment. With our technology and distribution, visitors are free to sit anywhere they want, and our additional commentators always bring extra atmosphere with them. Our approach is inclusive, immersive and works equally well for sport and for culture — so that more people than ever can experience the magic of a match or a live show.
We also support sports brands on the strategic side. We have provided musical supervision for documentaries and coordinated several single releases. Since 2025 we have been promoting music to clubs and sports organisations in partnership with UK-based Shoot Music.
Founder Diederik van Zessen (1987) has a background in print journalism (titles including Dutch weekly Nieuwe Revu and the Dutch edition of Vice) and radio (including national stations NPO 3FM and Kink FM) and has worked as a freelancer at the intersection of sport and audio since 2019. As a TV co-commentator he has been heard on more than 100 live Premier League and Bundesliga matches on Viaplay.
